My Fine Art Photography Is Me

I’m photographer Guy Farmer. I still remember, as a child, walking through art museums with my parents and being transfixed by the sublime, awe-inspiring creations before me. I was especially drawn to non-representational pieces, the ones that don't reveal all their secrets at once but that take you on a wondrous journey of discovery. I delighted in the ambiguity and unconventional beauty of abstract fine art, it spoke to me on a deeper level.

I’ve been taking photos for over forty years and I still get the same sense of excitement when I create my works that I had when I first started with my beloved Instamatic. I’m grateful that I get to take the road less traveled and be my authentic self through my fine art photography.
